This will be the biggest music event ever that will make history in 2016. Each country will select its best musicians that will make up a national band which will represent that country at the MUWOFO Music World Cup Competition to establish which country has the best musicians in the whole world. Two competitions will run concurrently namely the band competitions and the soloist competitions.

PURPOSE

• Open new markets for musicians- the international exposure which musicians will get will open new markets for them and give them an opportunity to go and perform in those countries.
• Uplift the standards of the music industry globally – as the competitions grow in popularity it will push countries to live up to the billing of the competitions hence every country that participates will invest more resources, time and skill in the music industry to prepare them for the MUWOFO Music World Cupo competitions.
• Celebrate cultures, revive dying genres- the competitions expose certain music genres and cultures that are not really known so that they can be appreciated globally. Part of the requirements of the competition requires the participants to perform a piece which is a foreign genre, which also requires them to learn about the culture and music of the place where that particular genre comes from.
• Respect for the music industry – with the high levels of standards which the competition will be running, it will bring respect to the music industry globally and show the world that musicians are not second class citizens.
